Proof of Read : Coda Protocol (Online Meetup, Limited spots)
Time & Location
About the Event
As we are testing our online setup, we offer very limited spots, but do not fear as we will be uploading the video online, on our website: https://www.proofofread.com. ---
Scalability and accessibility is on everyone’s mind, from Ethereum 2.0 to Lightning, but since the start, the O(1) team had those challenges in mind (tech white paper here: https://eprint.iacr.org/2020/352.pdf; econ white paper here: https://codaprotocol.com/static/pdf/economicsWP.pdf )
Being the size of a few tweets (about ~20 kilobytes), the Coda Blockchain blockchain aims to be accessible trustlessly from any device (phones and browsers) and enables frictionless integration of cryptocurrency into applications for developers.
We are very excited to present you this project as it has great potential to solve some of those challenges
Meetup agenda: Part 1: An introduction to Zero knowledge Part 2: Fireside chat between: Izaak Meckler (https://twitter.com/izmeckler), CTO of O(1)lab (https://twitter.com/o1_labs) Jeremy Clark (https://twitter.com/PulpSpy), Chair Director at Concordia University (https://users.encs.concordia.ca/~clark/) Part 3: Virtual hang out room (see more info below)
They will go over zk-SNARKs, explain what Coda is, how it works, go over some of their current challenges, and of course, as always, we will have an open Q&A. Virtual hangout room: This is the first trial! The reason for this limitation is that we want to create an actual virtual meetup and not just a conference. Participants will be able to join at the end of the talks a virtual room with 5 other individuals for 10 minutes and then switch rooms. This way participants will be able to chat and have a meetup-like experience. For those who will not be able to join, we will be recording the event and post it on our channel on youtube.
